Pay Attention to Simple Behaviors
“If those who are sent to draw water begin by drinking themselves, the army is suffering from thirst.” - The Art of War
Today’s Lesson: A good tactician looks for simple signs that are easily missed. One may know the condition of a whole army from the behavior of a single person—for example, fetching water away from the safety of the army can be hazardous, thus, it is unlikely for the fetchers to pause to drink unless the resource is scarce back at camp and there is a fear of missing out. Develop full-loop mechanisms that help you stay connected to how your employees, customers, army, etc. take action.
